The psalmist, Asaph, wrote psalm 73 and in it is one of my favorite verses:
Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth.
For many years I have purposed to seek first the kingdom of God and to place the Lord first in my life, but I have learned that it is a lifelong process and it is not always easy to live my priorities. I know that one of the ways God has used to teach me and to draw me to Himself is through writing. I often view sitting down to write as being chained to the computer, but the Lord graciously whispered to my heart one day, “Oh, Cynthia, I think of this time as our being in the closet together.” And so my time with Him has been life changing and I am amazed that He continues to use me now that I am growing old. My ministry is simply being an older woman who does take joy in teaching younger women. If you have been through one of my bible studies, I am honored to be a small part of your life. If you have not, welcome to becoming a woman who desires Him more than anything on earth."
